When it comes to her feelings about a particular frozen yogurt shop, Demi Lovato is not keeping it chill… like at all.

Publicly sharing her feelings on IG, Demi blasted the Los Angeles based froyo shop The Bigg Chill for carrying sugar-free varieties, saying it was “triggering” for her as a woman recovering from an eating disorder.

“Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from @thebiggchillofficial when you have to walk past tons of sugar free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Do better please.” She said it and she meant it, and even added the hashtag “#dietculturevultures.”

The Bigg Chill wasn’t feeling so sweet about the public attack and came to its own defense on the shop’s Instagram Story, making sure to tag the outspoken star - writing, “We carry items for Diabetics, Celiac disease, Vegan and of course have many indulgent items as well.”

Responding to her story, the shop also made sure to note, “We are not diet vultures. We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive.” To which Demi fired back with, ”Not just that. Your service was terrible. So rude. The whole experience was triggering and awful.”

"You can carry things for other people while also carrying for another percentage of your customers who struggle DAILY just to even step foot in your store. You can find a way to provide an environment for all people with different needs. Including eating disorders – one of the deadliest mental illness only second to [opioid] overdoses. Don’t make excuses, just do better.”

And even though this time The Bigg Chill left her on read and she was “done,” for the sake of transparency Demi shared the suggested alternatives for the brand to adopt in order to cater to everybody. "I was thinking, maybe it would help if you made it more clear that the sugar free options and vegan options are for that. Labeling the snacks for celiac or diabetes or vegans. When it’s not super clear, the messaging gets confusing and being in LA it’s really hard to distinguish diet culture vs health needs."

Demi continued adding, "I think clear messaging would be more beneficial for everyone." Lovato’s final message to the froyo establishment credited The Bigg Chill for “catering to many different needs” but added, “it’s not about excluding one demographic to cater to others.” Which was again frigidly left on read.

Later Monday, Demi further addressed the controversy with an Instagram video, saying "I definitely jumped to conclusions and probably shouldn’t have gone about this the way that I have. I’m willing to talk to this froyo shop to help get this messaging right… I’m human and I talk about my struggles. I’m passionate, so I’m sorry that I got the messaging wrong. I’m sorry that I may have disappointed some people.”
