The sold out festival has submitted a "robust safety plan" to officials to minimize and mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19 and a decision will be made by April 8th as to whether or not the festival can move forward with their initial dates. Otherwise it will move to October, which Rotella notes is "not a perfect situation" for those who have already made travel plans for Las Vegas this spring.
Rotella also responded to the festival's headliners who are asking for the show dates to be moved saying, "I hear your concerns. We also need to consider the Headliners who have struggled through this year & need EDC and the support of our community in their lives." If EDC is able to be held in May it would come 4 months before another major festival is scheduled in Las Vegas with Life Is Beautiful on September 17 - 19, 2021.
