Edie Falco is going from mafia wife to first lady.

The Emmy-winning “Sopranos” actress will portray Hillary Clinton in the upcoming FX anthology series “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The project centers around the 1998 impeachment of President Bill Clinton and is based on writer Jeffrey Toobin’s book “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.”

Falco joins a star-studded cast that includes Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Betty Gilpin as Ann Coulter, Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, and Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge.

Executive produced by Ryan Murphy, “Impeachment” is the third season in the “American Crime Story” franchise.

In 2016, “The People v. O. J. Simpson” dramatized the disgraced former NFL star’s murder trial with Cuba Gooding Jr. in the titular role.

“The Assassination of Gianni Versace” followed in 2018 and chronicled the murder of the Italian fashion designer (portrayed by Edgar Ramirez) by serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss).

“Impeachment” was initially scheduled to air prior to the 2020 election but production was pushed back due to the COVID pandemic and Ryan Murphy’s schedule.

In addition to being a central figure in the story, Lewinsky is also a producer on the project.

FX has yet to announce a release date for “Impeachment.”

Falco previously won three Emmy awards for playing Carmela Soprano on the HBO hit and one for her portrayal of “Nurse Jackie” on the Showtime series.
