Drinking on the job and smooching your colleagues is not work-appropriate behavior, but that didn’t stop Emily Blunt from teasing Dwayne Johnson about needing a little liquid courage to film a kissing scene with him.

Blunt, 38, recently told Access that filming a romantic scene with Johnson, 49, for the upcoming Disney movie “Jungle Cruise” was a tricky one.

“I literally had to turn to Jaume [Collet-Serra], the director, and said, ‘how many of these do you need? Can we get it in one?’ I had to get drunk for it,” the Brit joked.

Johnson parried back, teasing that he “had to get high for it! How about that?”

The playful bickering continued, with Johnson telling Blunt “everyone is funnier than you” and Blunt saying that Johnson “was in such bad shape” for filming, with the notoriously muscular actor adding “I let myself go, I didn’t care,” with a laugh.

Ribbing aside, the duo shared that filming the movie, based on the ride in the Adventureland section of four Disney theme parks, was “endlessly fun,” and Blunt admitted that their close bond led to an emotional last day of filming.

“We were all gussied up in posh clothes and then we all had a tequila together and we played Frank Sinatra and everyone cried,” said Blunt.

Comparing the movie to “Indiana Jones” and “Romancing the Stone,” Blunt said it was “emblematic of those films.” Johnson agreed, noting that “in 1955 when Disneyland opened, this was Walt Disney’s baby. Jungle Cruise, as a matter of fact, he was the first skipper of Jungle Cruise when the park opened and people didn’t even know it was Walt Disney.”

“Jungle Cruise” comes out in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 30.
