The singer took the stage in front of a whopping 68,000 fans for a night he won’t soon forget.

"To every musician out there, all I can say is get back in the game because it’s the greatest feeling in the world,” Brooks expressed.” I’ve never been made to feel at home as quickly as you guys have made me feel,” he said to the crowd.

While COVID-restrictions have eased since vaccine distributions, fans were still warned of the risk they endured of getting the virus with a statement on Brooks’ website that read, “Purchaser assumes Covid risk. All Covid rules apply.”

The risks are not lost on Brooks’ part either, who acknowledged he and his team are taking precautions to keep fans safe and are leaving the rest up to common sense and fate.

“We’re taking all the precautions that we possibly can to make sure that we’re doing our part,” he said. “Then the rest of it you just kind of throw up to fate and the common sense of the people you’re playing for, and I really hope that that message gets across, that if you’re going to do it, do it responsibly until we can get back to being real musicians and not having to be responsible.”

Garth is scheduled to do it all again next week in Salt Lake City at Rice-Eccles Stadium as part of his current stadium tour.

“Any time you’re off for a long time and come back, especially when you’ve been going as long as we have, you think it’s going to be over,” Brooks told fans. “Thank you for making me feel like this.”
