However, amidst the tragedy and devastation Montag’s husband’s social media plea has led her 15-year-old album, Superficial, to make its way onto the music charts, hitting #1 on iTunes, and helping the family generate income in the wake of the disaster.

"Please stream any of @heidimontag music on any platforms it will make a huge difference! Thank you," Pratt shared on TikTok with a slideshow of images showing himself standing in front of the rubble of their home. Montag's song "Look How I'm Doin" played in the background of the post.

In the five days since Pratt posted the initial post, followers certainly showed up for the couple, pushing Heidi’s 2010 album Superficial to No. 1 on the iTunes chart, with over 6,000 in album sales for the weekend of January 10-12. The album has also picked up massively on streaming services, growing 740.6% in U.S. on-demand streams to over 800,000 from the first weekend of January to the second. Montag’s third single off the album, "Superficial," which when first released was met with a harsh reaction from music critics, now also leads the top songs category.

Following the album's quick rise in the charts, Spencer has returned to the platform with lots of updates, gratitude, and some additional requests. He also addressed the pop album beating out a list of massive releases including Bad Bunny's recent DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, the Wicked soundtrack, and GNX by Kendrick Lamar.

Pratt took his celebrations to Instagram, shouting out Montag for ascending to the No. 1 spot on the most downloaded albums charts on US iTunes. "Popstar Heidi Montag number one in iTunes America!" Pratt said in an the IG video showcasing a screenshot of the accomplishment. "Thank you everyone!" he said, adding "I don't even care if it goes away in five minutes. I got this screenshot."

Montag also took to IG to express her gratitude to fans for their support, writing, "Thank you to everyone streaming my music and supporting us!”

The couple also joined Billboard’s Tetris Kelly during a TikTok livestream to celebrate and discuss what they have in store, including some new music. “We just actually had one of the most famous writers and producers reach out to us, and I recorded it yesterday,” Montag revealed. “They asked us not to specify who they are […] We’re really excited, and there’s a lot of stuff in the works. We really want to focus on getting a portion back to the community too, so we’re trying to figure out how to incorporate charities into everything we’re doing.”
