“Jeopardy!” has crowned a winner of its 2021 Tournament of Champions.
After 10 days of competition, Minnesota substitute teacher Sam Kavanaugh took home the $250,000 grand prize.
Winning the $100,000 second prize was Michigan wine tasting consultant Jennifer Quail.
Third place went to Oregon librarian Veronica Vichit-Vadakan, who won $50,000.
“Congratulations to Sam Kavanaugh! Relive the magic with this recap of the #TournamentOfChampions,” the official “Jeopardy!” Twitter account captioned a video.
In addition to his winnings, “Jeopardy!” will match the $250,000 grand prize with a donation to the Hope of the Valley Trebek Center for the Homeless in honor of the show’s iconic late host Alex Trebek.
Buzzy Cohen, who won the 2017 Tournament of Champions, hosted the two-week run of All-Star contestants.
On Monday, “Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik will begin her stint as a celebrity guest host. She will stand behind the podium from May 31-June 11.
The actress follows a line of A-list stars who have taken over the hosting duties following Trebek’s death last year.
Previous guest hosts have included Katie Couric, NFL star Aaron Rodgers, Anderson Cooper, Dr. Oz and “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker.
Last month, Jeopardy! revealed the latest batch of guest hosts will include actor LeVar Burton, “Good Morning America” anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, CNBC journalist Dave Faber, & sportscaster Joe Buck.
Executive producer Mike Richards expects to name a permanent host by July, in time to start production on the new season which premieres in September.
