Stars may have taken home gold statues at Sunday’s Oscars, but John Travolta took home something even sweeter.

During the “In Memoriam” sequence of the broadcast, Jamie Lee Curtis came out to offer some loving sentiments on the passing of Betty White. As a nod to White’s devotion to animal rights and rescue, Curtis held an adorable rescue dog named Mac-N-Cheese throughout her speech, explaining that it was up for adoption.
A few days after the ceremony, actor John Travolta took to Instagram to reveal that he adopted the pup along with his 11-year-old son Ben.
“Ben adopted this dog from last nights Oscar tribute to Betty White. Thank you @curtisleejamie & @pawworks," the actor captioned a photo of himself and Ben snuggling up to the new member of the family.
Curtis shared the photo on her own Instagram as she celebrated that Mac-N-Cheese found his forever home.
"A MAGICAL ending to the story from last night,” Curtis noted, per E! News.
She continued: “At the Oscars I reconnected with my friend, John Travolta. @johntravolta We starred together in the movie PERFECT back in 1984. I had already left the Dolby theater last night after honoring Betty White and was on my way home when someone texted me a photo of John holding little mac & cheese in the green room before his presentation of the best actor Oscar. I thought it was so beautiful to see him with her and then today I found out that he and his son, Ben have adopted beautiful little mac & cheese and are taking her home today."
During the ceremony, Curtis noted that White was "not only a Golden Girl," but also a "legend" who "cared so much for not just her two-legged friends but for animals just like this."
“So the greatest gift you could give Betty White,” she added, “is to open your heart and your home and adopt a rescue dog just like Mac-N-Cheese from Paw Works. So thank you, Betty, thank you for being a friend to us all."
As Entertainment Tonight reported, this will be the Travolta clan's third pet, after Jinx, a poodle mix, and Ben's cat, Crystal.
Travolta was in attendance to present the award for Best Actor, which ultimately went to Will Smith for his portrayal of Richard Williams in "King Richard." Moments prior to Smith's first win, he made headlines for smacking comedian Chris Rock following a joke about wife Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head.
