If you haven’t jumped on the Euphoria train, you’ve at least heard of the new hit television show. Or maybe you’re like Jon Pardi and have been forced to watch it…
LISTEN NOW: Jon Pardi catches up with Audacy's Rob + Holly
“I’m just disturbed by that Euphoria show Summer [Pardi's wife] loves so much,” Jon told Audacy’s Rob + Holly. “It’s the biggest show on HBO ever. Bigger than The Sopranos, bigger than the Game of Thrones and it’s just these weird little high schoolers and all their messed up stories about their life and everybody loves it… I’m like ‘Dang! This s*** is weird!’”
He continued, “People are in to some weird stuff, man… It’s very dramatic, let’s put it that way.”
Clearly Jon hasn’t been drinking any of the Euphoria Kool-Aid, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t experience his own “drama” as a teen.
“When you’re 14, nothing you do makes sense, really,” Jon said after telling Rob + Holly of the teen band he was in, that was short-lived. “I’m just glad social media and cameras weren’t around so much,” he said while sharing some stories of his ridiculous behavior.
“We were super inappropriate,” he said of himself and his friends/bandmates. “My favorite thing we ever did, we pushed this damn spare tire off the back of a truck going about 55 [mph] and it hit a mailbox,” he reminisced.
Sounds like Jon would rather be a part of the action than watch it on HBO!
Catch Jon and all his shenanigans as he hits the road with fellow Country troublemakers Lainey Wilson and Hailey Whitters for his Ain’t Always The Cowboy Tour kicking off this summer.
