Currently on the road with his headlining Damn Good Time Tour featuring Mitchell Tenpenny and Ashley Cooke, Jordan Davis decided to have some undercover fun and check-in with the fans to see what they actually thought of his music.

The 36-year-old recently shared a video of himself undercover as his alter-ego, “Shades Davis,” surveying the crowd ahead of one of his shows seeing if they’d partake in some trash talking about the headliner.

Using lines like, "I'm only here for Tenpenny, the headliner is garbage" and "My girlfriend dragged me here, I don't like the headliner,” Davis worked hard to get fans to spill some tea. While many listened politely, only a few seemed to catch on to Davis’ antics. Two young fans were the only ones to ask him directly if he was Davis to which he replied, “I’m not.”

While he praised Mitchell Tenpenny immensely in his efforts to get fans to talk trash himself, Tenpenny was the one praising Davis in the comment section of the video on socials. “Hahahahaha dude how in the hell do you do this bro??? I’m way too scared,” Tenpenny wrote. “Incredible content. Love you bro best Headliner in the game.”

Tenpenny wasn’t the only one who praised Davis’ “incredible content.” Fellow artists including HARDY, Russell Dickerson, Thomas Rhett, Ryan Hurd and more also had something to say about Davis taking his comments right to the fans.

“Balls of steel. I can’t do this lol,” HARDY admitted while Thomas Rhett added, “I wish I could have been there to witness this.”

Safe to say fans will be on high alert for the remainder of Davis’ headlining trek which continues through October 2024. Additionally, he’s touring with Luke Combs as support on his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour, but we doubt you’ll find him out in the crowd badmouthing the “garbage headliner” on that one!
