Kane Brown is readying to drop his newest single, “One Mississippi,” a song that came to him straight outta his DMs… literally.

“So this song, I found a guy from Alabama tagged me in a story on Instagram,” Kane said. “And he tagged two other artists and I’m super excited that I opened it. He was a great singer… It was a really good song that he was singing that he wrote.”
He continued, “So I asked him to come up to Nashville and write a song with me to see if we could get something to sign into my publishing company.”
Needless to say the artist jumped at the opportunity to write with Brown, an opportunity that brought some light to a rough year.
“His year during COVID has been rough,” Kane explained. “He lost his mom and it was sad, so I was excited to kind of give him a chance.”
Kane continued, “He came to Nashville with the title called ‘One Mississippi,’ and I kind of sat back and let him do his thing… He’s batting 1000 for the first time we wrote. It’s his first single so thank you Levon Gray."
