Keanu Reeves is out on the hype highway for his latest movie, the long-awaited sequel, “The Matrix Resurrections.”

The actor quite literally put his whole body into the making of the fourth in the popular and influential sci-fi franchise, including a terrifying stunt that involved a 46-story leap off a skyscraper.

So it was a bit of a surprise when he told Guardian reporter, Tom Lamont, not to stream it.

Lamont started off the interview saying he would probably stream the movie on his laptop once it arrives. Reeves took instant offense.

"Dude? Don't stream that movie…” exclaimed the star. “Don't you f***ing stream that movie! My god, man. I'm about to book a cinema for you, Thomas," said Reeves, who has previously gushed about his love of film.

However, as Lamont pointed out, Reeves was just teasing and soon said, “I mean, sure, stream it if you have to.”

“The Matrix Resurrections” studio, Warner Bros., announced early in the year that its entire list of 2021 films would be released in theaters and on HBO Max on the same day. Many movie insiders, like Chris Nolan, were none to happy about the plan, as arguments can be made not only for the aesthetic viewing choice, but possible lower box office numbers and holding off those who don't have the streaming service.

"The Matrix Resurrections" debuts in cinemas and HBO Max on December 22.
