Every actor would probably want to be a part of a major blockbuster franchise, whether they are willing to admit it or not. Today, the easiest way to do that is by joining the cast of a superhero movie.
Over the last few years the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the gold standard of these projects, and has had many big name actors attached to their films. Now, another star is saying he wants to join the superhero world, as Keanu Reeves recently claimed he would be “honored” to be a part of the MCU.

Despite having already been the lead in film franchises "The Matrix," "John Wick," and don't forget the "Bill & Ted" flicks, Reeves apparently is ready to add another one to his career.
In a recent Esquire interview, the actor was asked if he would ever join the MCU. “It would be an honor," Reeves said. "There’re some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they’re doing something no one’s ever really done. It’s special in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it’d be cool to be a part of that."
What was probably more shocking to longtime Reeves fans was that he apparently was married to Winona Ryder. As he stated to Esquire, "Winona says we are, Coppola says we are. So I guess we're married."
But before you yell, "Does Dave Pirner know about this?! there's an explanation, sort of.
During the filming of the 1992 Francis Ford Coppola film, "Bram Stoker's Dracula," the two were married in a scene.
"We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests," Reeves slyly answered. "So I guess we're married, under the eyes of God."
Ryder herself addressed the rumor with Entertainment Weekly back in 2018, on the eve of her movie reunion with Reeves, the rom-com, "Destination Wedding."
“We actually got married in Dracula," said Ryder. "No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master, and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married."
Despite the two actors playing footsie with the story over the years, the two never really sealed that filmic deal, but the rumor kept its legs all these years.
There are no plans for Reeves to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe or marry Winona Ryder at this time. But, as NME points out, Reeves will soon be reprising his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrections, opposite franchise veteran Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity.
That and those MCU comments give fans another reason to obsess over Keanu Reeves.
