
While singer, American Idol alum, and now coach on NBC's The Voice Kelly Clarkson is celebrated for her repertoire of covers and undeniable ability to take on some of the most revered songs in history, she recently revealed the one track that she'll be leaving alone for the forseeable future.
It's Kelly's team advisor Luis Fonsi's 2019 Spanish-language hit with Daddy Yankee, "Despacito," which was slingshot into playlists worldwide following the addition of a Justin Bieber remix that she finds most daunting. On Monday's episode of The Voice, Kelly explained her reasons.

While reminding viewers that she loves singing in different languages (don't forget, she dropped her 2020 single "I Dare You" in six different languages) Kelly admits she finds the sheer amount of lyrics in Fonsi's single daunting.
"I just realized something," Kelly said to Luis, "you have the one song in history I'm afraid to cover, 'Despacito.' And I have practiced so hard because I love singing in Spanish, or in just different languages."
"Yeah, it is a lot of lyrics. It's wordy for me," Luis laughed. "And it's like the biggest song of all time," Kelly said. "I'm kind of like, 'you know what? I'm going to leave that alone.'"
Now that the cat's out of the bag, fans, and even Luis are now just begging Kelly to take it on. Viewers likely shook the ground for a few seconds when they, along with Luis exclaimed simultaneously, "Aw, come on, you have to cover it now!" It looks like we'll just have to wait and see -- but knowing Kelly, she just loves a challenge...
