Kelly Clarkson wowed the crowd during her most recent Kellyoke session, opening the segment by taking on none other than Whitesnake. The hair-metal classic "Here I Go Again" was made famous in 1987 with the British group's sultry music video update to their 1982 single, featuring late model Tawny Kitaen writhing around on top of (and inside of) a pair of black and white Jaguar XJs.
Backed by her amazing house band, Kelly's version had a lot less writhing involved but just as much passion in her voice during the soft verses and epic chorus. Whitesnake's frontman David Coverdale, formerly of Deep Purple, has yet to comment on Kelly's perfect pitch. But he is a drifter, after all. Born to walk alone.
