Leslie Jones has exciting new projects on the horizon.

That’s what she said in a series of tweets on Tuesday, in which she opened up about her departure from “Saturday Night Live.”

One week after it was announced that she would not be returning for show’s 45th season, the actress and comedian bid the program and her cast members farewell with a touching five-part tweet.

In the Twitter message, Jones left no colleague unthanked, from the network the show has aired on for more than four decades, to the writers, producers and crew.

“Yes it’s true I am leaving Saturday Night Live,” Jones wrote. “I cannot thank NBC, the producers, writers and amazing crew enough for making SNL my second home these last five years.”

Jones also thanked the show’s legendary creator. “Lorne Michaels,” she said, “you’ve changed my life in so many ways! Thank you for being my mentor and confidant and for always having my back. You not only have my loyalty but you have my heart too!”

“I leave a better performer because of you,” she went on.

The tweet was accompanied by a hilarious montage video of photos of her in costume over the years, set to the second verse of the DMX song “What They Really Want.”

The “Ghostbusters: Answer the Call” star Jones also thanked her castmates, shouting out several by name.

“I will miss holding it down with Kenan everyday,” she said. “I will miss Cecily’s impression of me making me laugh at myself often, I will miss Kate’s loving hugs and talks when I needed. And of course Colin, you porcelain-skinned Ken doll. I will miss all my cast mates!!”

Jones hinted at her reason for leaving the series, teasing at what’s to come.

“Thank you for all the love and support through my SNL years,” she wrote. “I know you will be as excited as I am when you see some of the amazing projects and adventures that I have coming up very soon!”

The 45th season of “SNL” returns on September 28th. It will kick off with host Woody Harrelson and musical guest Billie Eilish.
