Stopping by Audacy’s LA studios to chat with Brooke Morrison, LISA filled us in on how her collab with Rosalía came about, who her dream collab artist is, her upcoming acting debut, and more.

Pointing out LISA's trio of recent solo singles thus far, all so unique and different from each other, noting “New Woman” featuring Rosalía is her particular favorite, Brooke asked LISA how the collab came about.
“So I got a song and I was like, ‘oh, it's going to be so cool if I have Rosalía featuring on this song,’ and I reached out to her and she said yes.” Also sharing what the experience was like to work with the singer, LISA said, “It’s amazing, I mean, she's such a lovely person… she’s such a pro… I'm a big fan, I’m a huge fan of her.”
Also getting into some of the past collaborations LISA has been involved in, including her feature on TAEYANG’s “Shoong!,” which happens to be one of our favorites. Not a small feat, when her collab lineup includes the likes of DJ Snake, Ozuna, Megan Thee Stallion, Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez. An impressive list, LISA additionally revealed she hopes to one day add Doja Cat to.
Ahead of releasing her latest single “Moonlit Floor,” LISA debuted the track during her set at Global Citizen Festival. Sharing how it felt to perform and share the song for the first time on such a big stage, knowing what it would mean to her fans, LISA expressed, “First of all, I'm so honored to be performing on that stage for a good cause. And so I was like, ‘oh, why not?,’ I just do something like a surprise for my fans.”
Noting how she’s experienced immense success already, as a solo artist and her K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, Brooke asked LISA if she has any advice for younger musicians coming up in the industry. “I would say just follow your guts feeling and keep pushing through,” LISA shared. Advice she herself followed when it came to making her acting debut by joining the season 3 White Lotus cast.
“I'm a big fan of 'White Lotus,'” LISA revealed, “so when the opportunity came, I was like, ‘why not?’” Adding she took the preparation process quite seriously, by taking acting classes. Calling the experience way more fun than stressful, LISA said, “It was fun because it’s something new to me. I've never done this before, so everything was just excited and I had a lot of fun doing the shoot.”
LISA also talked about the dream come true moment of performing at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and putting on those wings. Plus, what it means to her to have fans of different cultures from all around the world, as well as what a whirlwind it was performing and winning (multiple awards) at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
As she grows in your solo career, Brooke was curious if there are any genres LISA wants to tackle, noting “all of your solos have been super unique,.” LISA had her answer right away, “EDM… like club music,” she said without hesitation.
Before wrapping up, LISA shared her can’t miss pre-performance ritual, that if she doesn’t do it feels like somethings wrong, divulged one thing she’s learned from working with other artists that she’s taken with her, and let her fans know, “more music is coming… so please stay tuned.”
