News of Coldplay's forthcoming ninth studio release came in a handwritten note from frontman Chris Martin on Instagram along with a teaser trailer featuring an animated journey through the artwork, and short clips of the record's twelve tracks.
When we spoke with Chris upon the release of the album's first single, "Higher Power," he told us that he's thrilled to be a part of the new musical awakening following such a long time off the road. "I love being in our band, so I'm happy to be talking to people and playing," he said with a smile. "You know, we're desperate for work in a way."
As release day gets closer, the band is now preparing to get down to business once again, bringing new music to fans in a live setting -- and you're getting a chance to see and hear it first!
