The Country singer took to social media with a video of himself addressing the recent charges and set the record straight with fans telling them he was “completely and utterly unaware” of the lawsuit and reassured them he is not greedy in “any way, shape, or form.”

“I spent the last two hours trying to make this right, trying to figure out what’s going on because I was completely and utterly unaware of this,” he said. Explaining he does have staff that files lawsuits, Combs shared they are only instructed to go after large, international shops making millions off counterfeit t-shirts and such. “Apparently, this woman Nicol has somehow gotten wrapped into that, and that makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. It makes me sick honestly that would happen, especially at the holidays. I can’t imagine being in her shoes.”

Luke continued on to explain he’d been up since the early morning hours on Wednesday, working with his team to make things right. After two hours of contacting a news station, working with his manager and more, he was able to obtain Nicol’s phone number, give her a call, and instill a plan to make things right.

“I was able lot get Nicol’s phone number, I spoke to her this morning. She told be she was so shocked by this and I’m so apologetic,” he said. “She told me there’s $5,500 wrapped up in her Amazon account — I’m gonna double that [and] send her $11,000 today just so she doesn’t have anything to worry about.”

Luke’s motivation to do the right thing didn’t stop there. He then explained he’d be making and selling his own tumblers to sell on his website with all proceeds going to Nicol and her family to help with outstanding medical bills - the reason she started her tumbler and t-shirt company in the first place.

“Hopefully that can help her out…. She was never supposed to be involved in anything like this. No fan should ever be involved in anything like this,” he concluded before sharing he also invited Nicol and her family out to a show in 2024 so he can “give her a hug and say sorry in person.”

You’re a class act, Mr. Combs.
