After having the honor of introducing Kim Petras and Sam Smith performing their GRAMMY-winning song "Unholy" this past weekend, Madonna immediately faced harsh criticism in regards to her GRAMMY Awards appearance.

With people going as far to say she looked “unrecognizable” and throwing shots at her cosmetic work, she took to Instagram to share that she’s had enough.
In an erotic montage video featuring stars like Cardi B. and Sam Smith, she read all her critics to filth in her caption. Starting by giving props to Kim Petras for being the first trans-woman to perform at the GRAMMYs she quickly transitioned into a read of a lifetime.
“Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim - Many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that would distort anyone’s face!!,” she said.
The caption continued, “Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in. A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous.”
Using this harsh criticism as proof that the world hates and bullies women after they reach a certain age, Madonna shared she feels she's been receiving backlash on the way she carries herself and how she dresses since the start of her career but she’s okay with that if it means inspiring “all the women behind” her.
But one things for sure and two things are for certain, you won’t break her soul, she shared at end of her caption, quoting Beyonce’s single, “BREAK MY SOUL.”
