The duo, who played love interests in the 2004 film, reunite as an on-screen couple for Netflix’s latest sci-fi action film, “The Adam Project.”

“It was like we picked up where we left off,” Ruffalo noted during the film’s premiere in New York City, per PEOPLE.

He added: "It was like Jenna and Matty went off and had Ryan Reynolds as a kid, and no one can understand how he got so tall."

Reynolds plays the adult version of Ruffalo and Garner’s son, Adam. He is a time-traveling pilot who lands in 2022 and befriends his 12-year-old self in an effort to save the world.

The younger version of Adam is played by Walker Scobel.

"I know he was excited to be with me and I was too. We had a great time,” Garner said of the on-screen reunion that’s sure to delight fans.

"It was my wife who suggested Jen Garner to play the mom," director Shawn Levy told PEOPLE in a previous interview. "I shared the idea with [Ryan] and he loved it. He then, after the fact, pointed out to me that this was the “13 Going on 30” reunion."

"So even though it looks like the smartest marketing move ever, it was strangely accidental, but we got all the benefit of the chemistry that exists between Mark and Jen," he added.

Reynolds agreed that Ruffalo and Garner “had a beautiful — and still do — just a sheer chemistry that you can't create, it's just there."

"To reunite them in a different kind of time-travel movie, but one that's just as sweet and warm-hearted felt really... we just felt very lucky," Levy added.

However, since the duo only appear in one scene together, fans want to know if an actual “13 Going on 30” sequel might be in the works.

During an interview with “Good Morning America,” Ruffalo revealed: “It’s kinda crazy. I don’t know, but now would be a great time to make a sequel to 13 Going on 30.”

“Yeah, we were thinking maybe ’50 Going on 80,’” Garner joked.
