After nearly a two-month hiatus, Meek Mill finally returned to Twitter. Normally, the “Expensive Pain” rapper freely expresses his thoughts and views on social media. Nevertheless, fans were quite shocked about his recent controversial statement regarding smoking marijuana.

“I smoke weed everyday and get depressed as soon as I get high,” he tweeted unexpectedly on Saturday. “I be happy as h*** sober lol it just helps me think deeper and more realistic lol.”
The tweet garnered over 1.4K responses. LA-based artist Skrizzy also responded, tweeting back “Weed is a downer. If your already depressed it does nothing but amplify that.” Other twitter users even suggested that the DreamChasrers rapper should stop smoking weed entirely.
Last month, Meek Mill was previously spotted living lavishly with his friends, fellow rapper Lil Baby and Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin. Page Six reports that they were all hanging out on Rubin’s luxury yacht in St. Barts.
