Megan Thee Stallion is one fiercely resilient and powerful artist. On August 19 the “WAP” collaborator took to Instagram to once again shut down the ugly internet rumors that have been flying around about the shooting incident she faced earlier this summer.
Meg posted a detailed photo of her healing, stitched-up foot in order to exasperatingly shut down the trolls who have tried to discredit or silence her. In her caption the “Savage” songstress says, “Lol what I have learned abt the majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the s*** YALL make up…”
Essentially the rapper is demonstrating to her fans that she has not let this horrible event tear or slow her down. In fact, she’s recovering quickly and celebrating the fruits of her labor on her recent collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP.”
The photo has since been deleted by the rapper, but it lives on in posts across the internet.
“God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan The Mf STALLION,” proclaims the Town Hottie.
Not only is Megan just rejoicing over the love that “WAP” is receiving, but she and Cardi have taken to turning the summer bop into a female empowerment anthem. Today on Twitter both the rappers announced that they would be giving away $1 million over Twitter and Cash App to women who have been supporting the new record. Women around the U.S. and U.K. have a chance to enter to win a portion of the $1 million contribution from Cardi and Meg as long they tweet #WAPParty and their $Cashtag. This is Cardi and Meg’s way of saying thank you to the #BARDIGANG and all the hot girls who have supported the new track.
To all everyone supporting #WAP we see you!! we’re partnering with Twitter and Cash App to celebrate all the powerful women out there by giving away a total of $1 million dollars.
