Yeah it was her birthday, but we’re the ones who ended up with a gift. On Monday February 15, Megan Thee Stallion celebrated turning 26 with a fire new track “Southside Forever Freestyle,” along with an accompanying video. Sharing a clip of the track IG, alongside the caption "🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 🔥 #MeganMonday, " just in case we forgot.

Meg starts off the three-minute burner built on a track from LilJuMadeDaBeat and Juicy J with a warning, and some heavy braggadocios claims, but it’s Megan so it’s true.

"Please, b****, do not try to cap on me / Like I ain’t the hottest out naturally / I go anywhere in my t-shirt and chain, ho, killin’ s*** casually / Like I ain’t the hardest in Houston / Like b****es ain’t hangin’ to use me / Like n****s ain’t beggin’ to do me / from ballers to rappers, they b****es included, huh,” over the menacing beat.

Taking us back to her freestyling Houston roots with this one, Meg also changed all her social handles to her alter ego Tina Snow. Even closing out her freestyle with, “You know, young Tina Snow still going hard on a hoe,” before the anticipated tongue exposing “Ahh.” Getting us both hype and thinking that she’s up to some something, possibly some real “hot girl s***,” as always.

Reppin Houston hard, with both the bars and her attire in the Mike Ho directed visual, Meg pays homage to her hometown by reminiscing. “Southside s*** forever, ho / Get a Brisk tea from the Texaco,” while sporting a Houston Rockets hat and bikini.

In addition to honoring her hometown, Meg pays her respects to her mother and granny, “I’m goin’ hard for my mama, she knew I could do it, I pray every day just to prove it / I’m goin’ hard for my granny, she want it, she have it, the hood goin’ hard for Ms. Paxton, huh.” And even though her neck is lookin like a freezer all iced out and her face is beat to perfection, Megan kept this music video relatively simple this time around, with a basic DJ setup, stage lights and a hanging mic.
