Sharon Osbourne broke the news on her U.K. show The Talk (via Consequence) that Ozzy is set to undergo surgery this Monday. Sharon told her fellow hosts that Ozzy “has a very major operation on Monday, and I have to be there.”

While Sharon didn’t get into specifics about the operation, she did say the surgery has major ramifications on Ozzy’s health. “It’s really going to determine the rest of his life,” she said.

Just a few weeks ago, Ozzy disclosed that he was having continued trouble with his neck. Osbourne said he’s still feeling the effects of a quad bike accident he had back in 2003 and is dealing with damage from the incident.

“I’m just waiting on some more surgery on my neck,” he said at the time. Aside from waiting for surgery, Ozzy said that he “can’t walk properly these days.”

“I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.”
