Ahead of their upcoming tour, Paramore have announced that a portion of proceeds from those ticket sales will be donated to organizations that provide reproductive care and abortion services.

“We are outraged by the SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, ending the federal constitutional right to abortion, affecting millions across the country,” the band wrote in a public statement.
Noting that, “$1 of every ticket sold for our US Fall 2022 shows will be donated to ARC Southeast, an organization that provides funding and logistical support to ensure Southerners receive safe and compassionate reproductive care including abortion services.” And an additional, “$1 of every ticket sold for our Bonner Springs, Kansas show will be donated to Kansas Abortion Fund, an organization that provides assistance to Kansans in need of financial support to obtain abortion services.”
The trio are set to kick of their intimate comeback tour this October, making 12 stops across North America, with one stop in Toronto, Ontario.
Paramore additionally wrote that “$1 of every ticket sold for their Toronto concert will be donated to Women’s Shelters Canada, an organization that works with over 600 women’s shelters across Canada, supporting women and children fleeing violence.”
Concluding their post, the band wrote,“We look forward to supporting more causes on future tours. Thank you to those of you coming to these start up dates.”
Paramore are just the latest to join in the disapproval of the US Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in June. As number of artists have also spoken out including Lizzo, Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift, Madonna, Rage Against The Machine and more.
