While Gwen Stefani is scheduled to marry her country crooning beau Blake Shelton sometime this summer, her bridal shower wasn’t exactly penciled into her calendar.

On Thursday Stefani took to her Instagram stories to share how it all went down, "I got kidnapped by family to celebrate that I’m getting married!" she said in a video post, with another of some flowers reading, "Feeling loved, feeling blessed.”
Documenting the fun celebration, Stefani also shared a card addressed to "the Bride to be" that included "something old" - a copy of "The Mass on the Day of Marriage" of her parents, Patricia and Dennis, who tied the knot on June 11, 1966 in Anaheim, California. Aww, how sweet!
The inside of the card read, ”Wishing you all the happiness your heart can hold... today, tomorrow, always. - We love you so very much!” Okay, queue the tears.
Keeping with the same vibe, Stefani revealed on Late Night With Seth Meyers back in April that she and Shelton plan to keep their nuptials low-key.
"We're keeping it very simple. Really simple," Stefani said during her appearance. "I think the guest list will not have a lot of musicians. It'll be like my mom and my dad. It's literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though.”
"It's going to be fun. We're going to make it really fun, but it's not going to be a big event," she continued. "It's not like the queen and king are getting married or something like that.”
Okay so we know it’ll be a small and simple affair, and we know what song they’ll be dancing to. That just leaves us wondering if Shania Twain is among that small list of musicians Gwen mentioned, because we already know she has the perfect gift, and that she wishes to sing with them as a trio, which if documented would be a great gift for us.
