Date night, but with an A-list twist.
All eyes were on Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez last night at the red carpet premiere of the new Affleck feature, "The Last Duel," at Lincoln Center in New York City.
But it wasn’t scripts, the premiere, or the carpet Affleck seemed most focused on last night, it was the rekindled romance with Jennifer Lopez.
While the photographers aimed at the couple, Affleck was firmly fixed on JLo’s face, to the point that Lopez got giggly at Affleck’s laser stare, and the two even snuck in some hugs.
The two walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival last month too. Though Lopez didn't join Affleck for the premiere of “The Tender Bar, it appeared that she was on his mind when Affleck revealed that he's in a state of bliss.
“I’m very happy. It is a very happy time in my life. Life is good. I love this movie, and ‘The Last Duel,’ October 15, which I am really proud of,” Affleck told Extra TV.
And it doesn’t take the glamour of beaming searchlights and clamoring fans to get the couple snuggly. As Page Six added, “the A-list couple were spotted taking a romantic stroll through New York City‘s Madison Square last month, seemingly paying no mind to onlookers as they packed on the PDAs.”
Directed by Ridley Scott, "The Last Duel" is a drama about the last legal duel in medieval France. The movie’s script was written by old pals Affleck and Matt Damon -- the first script they’ve collaborated on since the classic “Good Will Hunting” in 1997.
“The Last Duel” also stars Adam Driver and Jodie Comer, and looks like the kind of lavish historical epic poised to be a contender come awards season.
