Sam Fender was back in Los Angeles recently, checking out Paul McCartney in a small theater, riding the rides at Disneyland, even hanging with Al Pacino and Elton John. “I was just like, ‘what is going on with my life right now,’ this is insane,” he tells Megan Holiday about his whirlwind trip.

The singer stopped by our Los Angeles studios along the way to share stories and talk about the success of his Olivia Dean collaboration, “Rein Me In,” which has gone number one in the UK. “This is like the most success we've ever had and all I've done is sat on my arse and played PlayStation for 3 months," he jokes.
“I didn't even think it was a single,” admitted Sam about the hit. “I was like, ‘oh this is a great album track.’”
“I've struck gold with asking Olivia Dean,” who was asked to add her own verse to the original song. ”It just really elevated it and I think it made it made it more universal, and I think it kind of just related to a lot more people than it would have done had I not had Olivia on it. I'm eternally grateful that she did that and and then it's just gone daft.”
