Come with Arnold if you want to live.
According to over 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom, the former California governor, movie star and bodybuilding icon is the top choice to lead Earth in the event of an alien invasion. Not missing a chance to weigh in, Schwarzenegger himself responded late Thursday.
"I want to thank the people for putting their faith in me," he tweeted. "I am ready to serve."
Interestingly, another actor with experience fighting off aliens came in second: Will Smith. The "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" star is known worldwide for his expertise in defeating alien invaders from the blockbuster "Independence Day" franchise.
The poll, which sought to rank the top 20 celebrities and public figures best suited to deal with an alien invasion, was conducted by the BLAZE TV channel.
Beloved British historian, broadcaster and animal expert Sir David Attenborough came in third, followed by Bruce Willis and Tom Cruise to round out the top five.
In politics, former President Donald Trump came in eighth place, while his successor Joe Biden finished last in the poll. Vice President Kamala Harris was the current administration’s highest ranking official at number 19.
"Arnold Schwarzenegger is a strong choice for dealing with an alien invasion, bearing in mind he’s not only a screen action hero but was also Governor of California," a spokesman for BLAZE TV told The Scottish Sun.
The study also found more than one in 10 adults believe they've seen a UFO.
"It’s worrying to see that so many celebrities with fictional alien experience are considered by many to be better candidates than our current crop of world leaders," the spokesperson added.
