Due to the virtual nature we’ve all been living in thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Democratic National Convention was afforded a star-studded lineup of musical performers.
The line-up ranging from Billie Eilish to John Legend drew in a whole new crop of young viewers that the 2016 DNC did not see. Amongst this year’s talented artists to perform was The Chicks.
Natalie Maines, Martie Erwin Maguire, and Emily Strayer powerfully launched the final night of the DNC’s festivities with their remote rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Often outspoken and politically involved, in years prior The Chicks denounced President George W. Bush and have ultimately aimed to use their position to create change and do good.
It comes as no surprise that The Chicks would be eager to rally Americans to get out the vote and help to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
