Alaina recently spoke with Audacy about “Getting Over Him” and how Jon Pardi ended up on the track.
"It was so funny, when I was listening back to the song I was like, 'it sounds like we just described Jon Pardi... accidentally,'" she said. “So, I sent it to him. I think I really hooked him with the 'denim on denim' line!" Pardi agrees: "That's it... denim on denim, go get 'em!"
"I love the attitude of it," Pardi says of the track. "I love the rowdiness of it. I think it's great for Lauren to have a song like this, and to be a part of it and be the outlaw guy in the story... I'm all about that. It's fun and I think we can all relate to it. One rowdy night."
