Sharon Osbourne, wife of the 'Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, has been around rockers for most of her life. So, it was no surprise that her guess of who could be in the banana suit throughout season 3 of The Masked Singer turned out to be right on the mark.
After performing rockin' renditions of Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation," Billy Ray Cyrus' "Achy Breaky Heart," the recently passed Bill Withers' "Lean on Me," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama," and The Commodores' "Brick House," the Banana's final song before being revealed was the Bob Dylan classic, "Knockin' On Heaven's Door."
“I know his voice so well... I’ve known you, what, 35 years?” Osbourne said when the mask was finally pried off of Bret Michaels by host Nick Cannon.
Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg also guessed that it was Michaels in the banana suit, while fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke join in with agreement in the end. It was Ken Jeong who had no clue, wrongly guessing it was Brad Paisley.
Michaels was visibly emotional during the revelation, explaining that he and his daughters love the show and that he's appreciative for the positivity and good vibes the show gives off, especially in these trying times.
Some of the clues were quite telling, especially for hair metal fans; the Banana had a bag packed beside him during his final song with items hinting heavily at the band he fronted for so many years: Inside were a cat (Look What The Cat Dragged In), a can of bug spray (Poison), a Nashville sheriff's badge and two labels, one that said "backstage crew" and one with the image of a tongue (Open Up and Say.. Ahh!).
Watch below as Michaels describes his time on the show, the songs he sang and the fun he had, knowing that Sharon had him pegged the entire time.
