After making his fight against stomach cancer public last year, Toby Keith took the stage for the very first time with back-to-back shows in Oklahoma.

"It felt so right, Toby had to do it twice," a caption posted to his social media read with some photos from his performances. Longtime collaborator, Scotty Emerick,  joined Keith on stage for the second night resulting in some new memories between the longtime friends.

“Nights to remember,” the social caption continued. “Toby's back!"

The 60-year-old Country star shared his cancer diagnosis with fans via Twitter last year after being diagnosed in Fall 2021. He’s received treatment via chemotherapy, surgery and radiation and has been taking some time out of the spotlight to “breathe, recover and relax.”

“Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer,” he shared at the time. “I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation, and surgery. So far, so good.”

He continued, “I need time to breathe, recover and relax. I am looking forward to spending this time with my family, but I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait.”

Keith clearly made good on that promise this weekend, resulting in some music-inspired healing for both him and his loyal fanbase.
