
Tool drummer Danny Carey was arrested on Sunday night for an alleged assault that took place at the Kansas City airport.

According to TMZ, Carey got into a physical altercation with another individual inside of the terminal. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that airport police responded to a report of a disturbance between two men. When police arrived, they arrested Carey and transported him to a nearby police station where he was booked for misdemeanor assault.
Sources tell TMZ that Carey got into an altercation with an employee working security at the airport and could be fined up to $13,900 for the incident.
Carey was in attendance at a basketball game between the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri. During a break in the action, Carey performed with the Kansas band as they delivered a cover of “Fire” by Jimi Hendrix.
The news comes just one month before Tool is set to embark on a massive 2022 North American tour.
The tour will kick off on January 10 in Eugene, Oregon as the band will play a total of 37 shows before wrapping up on March 20 in Cleveland, Ohio.
