“There's moments where your brain can't comprehend all of this,” Zeiders told PEOPLE during a recent interview. And with a story like his, we can see why.
After being forced to leave lacrosse following a series of concussions, Zeiders turned to his music hobby as a way to cope. Sharing a few non-strategic, musical posts to social media ended up changing his life and the trajectory of his career.
In just 3 years he’s garnered more than 1.1 billion audio streams globally and 1.4 billion views on TikTok. He recently received RIAA platinum certification for his breakthrough single, “Ride The Lightning," and was welcomed to the Grand Ole Opry stage for his debut in the summer of 2022 — nearly one year after he wrote his very first song.
Most recently, the Hershey, PA native performed his first headlining show at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium — an experience many artists only dream about.
As he works to comprehend his new lifestyle revolving around writing sessions, tour dates and studio time, Zeiders’ is certain he’s right where he’s supposed to be. “I had played [lacrosse] for 12 years and that's what I was known for,” Zeiders shared. “It was difficult to let it go, but I say God's got a plan for everybody, and I think that all along [music] is what I was meant to do. I believe that more and more each day.”
