Ohio State football players weren’t the only ones running this past weekend. The athletic band decided to join in too as they went for a… run with the devil.

Ohio State held their annual spring football game over the weekend in front of a crowd of 60,000 attendees. It not only provided the opportunity for players to shake off the rust and get in shape, it did so for the athletic band too.
During halftime, the Ohio State Athletic Band performed a medley of Van Halen hits including “Runnin’ With the Devil,” “Dreams,” “Panama,” and “Jump.”
Not only did the performance feature the band playing the songs, members also marched in various formations that paid tribute to the group. In the beginning, members spread out and spelled “Van Halen” before transitioning into an epic, lifelike outline of Eddie Van Halen. Of course, the performance wouldn’t be complete without the band marching in a formation outlining the iconic Van Halen “VH” logo.
Recently, Van Halen celebrated the 40th anniversary of their criminally underrated album Diver Down.
The record gets lost in the shuffle as it preceded perhaps Van Halen’s biggest album in 1984. Nevertheless, it’s gone four-times Platinum by selling over four million copies since its release.
