As a game show contestant on “Wheel of Fortune,” your only job is to answer riddles and puzzles correctly.
And when you don't, you can be sure that fans of the classic show won't be afraid to speak up and call out a mistake.
During Thursday’s episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” one contestant’s answer made some viewers angry, so they took to social media to share their confusion.
It all started when Steven Page, a contestant on the show, solved the puzzle “Quality Craftsmanship.” Page seemed to leave out the “s” in the word “craftsmanship" instead saying "craftmanship," according to Yahoo
Viewers didn’t hold back as they expressed concern on Twitter. Due to the show’s rules, some said his answer should have been wrong because it was technically incorrect.
Page eventually received $9,000 for the puzzle, which took him to the bonus round. Fans shared that this was unfair to the other competitors.
One person tweeted, “#WheelOfFortune why was Steven’s response on “Quality Craftsmanship” rules correct tonight?? He said “quality craftmanship”—without the “S”! That’s incorrect! Lisa deserves another $9k, as she would have got that on the next turn.”
“@WheelofFortune Uh, he said “craftmanship.” That’s not correct. The word was “craftsmanship”!!! He shouldn’t have been in the bonus round! Cheated the lady out of the W. Can’t believe they didn’t catch the mistake!” another fan wrote.
While another user said, "Did anyone else notice that Steven didn’t pronounce craftsmanship correctly. He said craftmanship, not craftSmanship. He should NOT have won!!”
Despite not solving the bonus puzzle, he still ended up a champion.
