While most of us we’re making banana bread and shopping online for sweatpants during quarantine, Ariana Grande spent her time being cute and falling in love with her (at the time) new beau Dalton. Fast forward to a little over a year later and now they’re married.
Despite slight rumblings towards the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 from some underground Ariana news outlets (yes those exist), we weren’t entirely sure Ari was actually seeing someone. That is until she was spotted making out with a “mystery man” in February of 2020.
Finally, a few months later in May, Mr. Gomez made his world debut at the very end of the “Stuck With U” video for some casual PDA with his lady, and the internet pretty much lost it. Since then he’s made sporadic appearances on the pop princess’ social media, whenever she feels like sharing.
For those wondering, yes, you can follow him on IG - but only if he lets you. Dalton’s Instagram is private, which sucks for fans but honestly makes sense for obvious reasons related to the internet being a scary place.
Unlike Ari’s exes, Dalton is not famous, which is a true testament to our dedication, meaning we had to do some serious sleuthing. So, you’re welcome.
A Southern California native, Dalton works as a buyer’s agent for a luxury real estate company called the Aaron Kirkman Group doing a lot of “high-profile deals with A-list clients.” Not to say that’s how he and Ari got acquainted, but it is possible since she did purchase property within the last year. Or maybe it wasn’t her he directly worked with, as it was reported by the Los Angeles Times that he sold a house on behalf of her lawyer.
Anyway, according to Dalton’s work bio, which is where we got the information above, he’s “highly sought after for his extensive knowledge in the fields of significant architecture and luxury estates, and he is quickly becoming an industry titan.” Dang Dalton, do your thang.
Assuming the site is up to date, it seems as though Dalton doesn’t currently have any active listings, which, can you blame him… he’s been a bit busy. However, the index of Dalton’s sold listings is quite impressive, making it evident that those commission checks were more than enough to cop that impressive and custom designed engagement ring he put on Ari’s finger during Christmas time last year.
Some back story on the rock. Designed by jeweler Jack Solow, it’s asymmetrical design features an oval-shaped diamond alongside a pearl (her birthstone). Apparently, five or six weeks before the proposal, Dalton went to Jack with the intent of giving Ari the rock of her dreams.
Speaking to E! News after the engagement Jack shared that, "Dalton was involved in every step of the selection process through FaceTime and Zoom since he was on the west coast and I was here in my office in New York,” Adding, ”He was very, very specific about what he wanted."
When it came to the wedding bands, as spokesperson for the jeweler shared that Solow "worked with Dalton on this,” to craft the perfect piece, “a beautiful, tasteful platinum and diamond pave band," that "Dalton was very happy with.” I mean… who wouldn’t be.
As for the wedding, according to TMZ, the ceremony was small, and primarily included family members from both sides for a very intimate vibe filled with a lot of love. Which a rep for Ari did confirm, sharing, “They got married. It was tiny and intimate—less than 20 people.” Adding, “The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier.”
Us too, we couldn't be happier for this adorable baby-faced couple! Can’t wait to see what comes (thank you) next.
