With the ground-breaking today for a Medal of Honor museum in Arlington, Texas, American Airlines has unveiled a jet with a new paint job honoring Medal Of Honor winners.
The newly painted Airbus A-321 dubbed "Flagship Valor" flew in from American's maintenance base in Tulsa yesterday in time for last night's banquet celebrating Medal of Honor recipients and those who've been working on the museum.
The artwork includes depictions of the three styles of the medal for the Army, Navy and Air Force. Marines who earn the Medal receive the Navy version because the US Marine Corps operates as part of the Department of the Navy.
There's also a mural depicting silhouettes of war-fighters from seven conflicts from the Civil War to the Global War on Terrorism.
The official ground-breaking is today for the new $150 million Medal of Honor Museum to be constructed in the Arlington entertainment district near AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field.
