Arizona Gov. Ducey Re-Closes Bars, Movie Theaters, Gyms, and Water Parks

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has just ordered a slew of businesses to shutter once again after reopening them just recently.

Bars, gyms, movie theaters, water parks, and tubing are all to close for 30 days on Monday, after weeks of steady positive coronavirus test results in the state. Ducey even issued a warning to Scottsdale bars and nightclubs who were not adhering to social distancing measures.

According to Ducey, the order goes into effect at 8 pm on Monday, ABC15 reports.

Six weeks ago, restaurant dining rooms, bars, nightclubs, attractions, and movie theaters were told it was okay to reopen following coronavirus closures.

On June 17th, Ducey required that all restaurants and businesses adhere to certain guidelines including a reduction of capacity and occupancy, increased cleaning, and testing for employees.

In recent weeks, Arizona has seen increases in coronavirus cases, and some bars and restaurants have already closed voluntarily due to the uptick in cases.
