CORAM, NY (1010 WINS) -- Unusual vending machines have turned up in Suffolk County -- ones that dispense crack pipes.
According to News 12, two of the machines showed up in at the Coram Commons Shopping Center, and at a bus stop over the weekend.
Another machine was found in front of an apartment complex on Route 112 in Medford.
"The dispenser alone is illegal. Like any other structure, if someone were to construct anything on the right of way they'd have to get permits, they'd have to get a site plan. So that in itself is illegal, then obviously what it's selling is not anything that I want in this community whatsoever," Town of Brookhaven Councilman Michael Loguercio, Jr. said.
Cops have since removed the machines, and there is an active investigation underway to find out who was behind them.
