Dunkin' is releasing new menu items just in time for the new year

New year, new Dunkin' menu items.

If you need a little boost after the craziness of the 2020 holidays, Dunkin' is here to deliver. On Wednesday, the chain rolled out their Extra Charged Coffee, made with green coffee extract and giving it an extra dose of caffeine.

The chain claims to have nailed down the secret to getting 20% more caffeine in these coffees compared to their classic hot or iced varieties.

From now through January 26, Dunkin' will be selling medium Extra Charged Coffees for just $2.

"Heading into January, people could use a little extra of a lot of things, including extra encouragement, extra energy, and extra excitement," Dunkin' said in a news release on Tuesday.

Additionally, Dunkin' began serving two new coffee blends - Dunkin' Midnight and Explorer Batch - available only to be served hot.

Midnight has been described as "the brand's darkest roast ever, featuring a rich, smooth, full-bodied flavor, rounded out with notes of decadent cocoa and an intensely dark finish."

Explorer Batch, on the other hand, is another medium roast brew with dark berry notes and a smoky finish, USA Today reports.

If you're looking for something sweet to accompany your coffee craving, there's a new donut available in the form of the Dunkfetti - a cake donut featuring confetti sprinkles and topped with a sweet glaze. They'll also be offering a gluten-free fudge brownie and Croissant Stuffers.
