NYC ferry runs aground, takes on water in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A ferry ran aground in Brooklyn and was taking on water Saturday afternoon, the FDNY said.

The ferry ran aground in the area of the Bushwick Inlet at Quay and West streets in Greenpoint around 4:15 p.m., according to the FDNY.

FDNY marine and land units were on the scene as the ferry was taking on water, officials said.

There were no injuries, and no one was in distress, according to officials.

Citizen App video appears to show people being escorted off of the ferry and onto another boat.

Fire units were assessing the vessel, officials said.
