The goose is doing everything it can to keep a mother duck and her nest safe, even if that means honking at anyone that walks by the duck's nest.

Residents of Daybreak have had to put up signs to warn people of the goose as they pass by the area.

A video posted to YouTube this week showed interactions the goose has had with people, as its "home" appears to be on the edge of a man-made lake in the community. The video shows people out for walks or bike rides on the path by the lake, and the goose doing all it can to protect the territory.

Towards the end of the video, the goose can be seen escorting the newborn ducks to the lake, as it's role as their protector is complete.

It's unknown if the goose has remained in Daybreak since then, or if it has continued to honk at people who are out for a casual walk.
