If you want a taste of Dolphins history, head to this independent resort in the quaint Miami Lakes neighborhood just southwest of the stadium. The Graham family behind the hotel has long roots in the area, including a partnership with famed coach Don Shula, who used to live on the 16th hole of the hotel’s golf course. Don Shula even sequestered the Dolphins in Miami Lakes for home games, so you’re in historic company here.
