What the National Hurricane Center says will be Hurricane Delta is forecast to head for Louisiana by next Friday.

Forecasters say the system is expected to become a tropical storm by Monday afternoon on a track toward the Gulf of Mexico.

The forecast then calls for the system to move toward Louisiana as a Hurricane.

It is currently called Potential Tropical Cyclone Twenty-Six in the Caribbean.

The Hurricane Center says, "On the forecast track, the center of the disturbance is expected to pass near or just southwest of Jamaica tonight and early Monday, move near or over the Cayman Islands Monday night, and approach the Isle of Youth and western Cuba Tuesday afternoon or evening.  The system is forecast to move into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico Tuesday night or early Wednesday."

Tracks have a large degree of error more than five days out, this forecast could change quite a bit.
