Worst ninth hole ever.

We would challenge Tiger Woods to come up with a story of a more difficult putt that the one John Walters lined up for at a golf course in southern Georgia recently.

The hilarious video shows how, just as the amateur golfer tapped the ball, a gorgeous but apparently irritated swan inches over, jumps up, and pokes the golfer right in the back. He then keeps chasing him, wings flapping furiously, landing jabs to the legs as Walters scurries around the hole.

His friends can only chuckle away in the background. Well, they could’ve done more, but it all happens fast, and is pretty hilarious after all. Swans might be lovely, but these golfers seem to know you don’t mess with them.

They’re quicker and can be meaner than their graceful looks imply. And as the swan reaches its long neck out numerous times to jab at Walters, he appears nearly as tall as the golfer!

And after all, this is the swan’s turf. As Walter’s daughter told TMZ, the bird reportedly lives in a pond near that ninth hole, and is infamous among local golfers for being aggressively possessive of the area.

From the looks of the video, Walters might think about getting into competitive track too, as he always stays just a step ahead of the fleeting foul the whole time.

Golf courses, being all green and ponds and outside around nature, have a history of critter visits. Like the baby alligator who made a scary visit during the 2021 PGA Championship.

The amazing thing is, despite the large, looming bird, Walters made the put! Hopefully his friends just gave him the game after that. They sure as heck didn’t help.
