President Donald Trump's ex-wife is reflecting on how she feels about the president's current health scare. She's keeping up with her children while she looks to the news for updates.
"It's a very difficult time," Ivana told People on Saturday. "It's a stress."
She went on to say that her children are "of course, worried" about the fate of the president's health. Ivana shares Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump with the president. Their marriage lasted from 1977-1992.
President Trump was taken to Walter Reed Hospital on Friday afternoon where he remains until he is well enough to be discharged. Officials suggested this could happen on Monday.
According to White House physician Dr. Sean Conley, the president has only suffered "mild symptoms" and is to remain under close watch for several days until the virus has run its course.
Conley went on to say that the president is relatively healthy. "He's 74, he's male, and he is slightly overweight. Other than that, he's very healthy."
Ivana further stated that it came as "a little bit of a shock" that President Trump contracted the coronavirus, as he is "the cleanest, healthiest person."
"Not healthiest with food, but very healthy otherwise - always washes his hands and always is careful," Ivana said. "His only weakness is food. He likes the Big Mac - it's his biggest weakness."
While Ivana gets updates from her children and the news, she wishes for nothing but the president's health. "I just hope he's going to get out of it and be healthy. But who knows what will happen, because I don't know anything about this virus and nobody else does and nobody knows how to cure it."
"I am afraid," she continued. "I'm going to be afraid until he gets well and he gets out of it."
