Steve Bannon, adviser to former President Donald Trump, has been found guilty on both counts of contempt of Congress.

Bannon was indicted last year for failing to provide information to the House January 6 committee. He was served with subpoenas and did not comply.

Bannon, who plead not guilty to the charges, has his sentencing set for October 21 of this year. He could face a minimum of 30 days in jail. CNN reports that the jury reached a unanimous verdict in less than three hours after a two day-long hearing.

Bannon was the White House Chief Strategist under President Trump. He has not commented on the verdict yet.
